    This place feels like a home away from home! Angelic Angela, vivacious Val, delicious Di or George will make you feel welcome and comfortable. Fantastic meals, Val makes the best pumpkin soup in the world, (according to me), and reasonably priced. Accommodation is basic but clean and warm. The locals are friendly and have some great tips on what to see and do in the area, also have fascinating stories on the history and characters of the past. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, warm open fire, cold beer, good company, great meals, i would recommend this Tavern to everyone!

    Very friendly local pub with awesome meals and welcoming accommodation. Thank you ladies for the local knowledge resulting in 2 fun hikes. Happy to stay here again when next in the area !!!
